Owner and refrigeration engineer, Peter Roper, established the centre in 2008 after purchasing an existing business, relocating it, and rebranding it as CoolCar Air-Conditioning Centre Manukau. Peter previously owned CoolCar East Auckland, but has since sold the business to his long-time staff member, Nas.
